That was interesting. *has also perused the rest of the carousel and found things of interest* I was amused that Paradox doesn't have a trailer. With the description it made me giggle.

When I first read the one-liner about Paradox it sounded really interesting. Now it sounds more like Minority Report for now with none of the pizazz. But then again...

Framed and that Nigel Slate program looked good as well. frankly several of them do. BBC should really consider an internet feed for non uk.

Bear in mind that every household with a TV is legally obliged to pay US$230 a year for the BBC and other state-funded broadcasts. Which amounts to $20 per month.

Since it's highly unlikely that you could persuade all American households to pay towards state-funded television, you'd have to pay at least twice, more likely four times that for the equivalent service.

And of course, many UK'ers resent having to pay $20 a month for the BBC, and then $80 on top of that to watch movies/football/p0rn...

The cable package I'm commenting on is about $110 a month per customer on average. $20 a month for just BBC programming - which is at least quality (our PBS Stations here air some of it and we subscribe for that) would be ok. Although considering how much more population (vs Britain) we have here is may slide a little downwards in price scale.
