-why am I more interested in US domestic politics than UK domestic politics (again!)?
Because it's sexy. Politics in the UK haven't been as sexy since Maragaret. To me, anyway.
Okay, I am going to make a confession here. I voted for Bush. Twice. I feel very strongly about exercising my right to vote, and as liberal as I am, could not in good conscience, vote for Gore or Kerry. It was a great deal harder than I will detail here, but the fact is that I was not alone in that. I voted for the lesser of the evils.
And the evil just got worse.
The pendulum swings. People have had enough. I live in Bush's home state - a state that is pretty conservative. And I am encouraged by the number of cars with Democratic candidate's names on them. A LOT of Obama stickers. You didn't see that as much with Gore or Kerry.
I don't know if he can win. I just really HOPE he does.
