Quick Pop quiz for non-Brits

Sparked by a discussion with the normally delightfully pop-culture-savvy [livejournal.com profile] shove_this_job

Non-Brits only, please - us Brits already know the answer.

Doesn't everyone know they're from Liverpool? :/ I'm pretty certain they mentioned it on the Ed Sullivan Show, which 75% of the US TV audience watched.

I was sure that was a trick question...

Haven't the foggiest myself, and I live in the North of England.

Playing many hours of Beatles Rock Band has paid off in so many ways.

The way you phrased the question I second-guessed myself for a second, wondering if it was a trick question.

I would've been less confident prior to playing Beatles Rock Band.

NO IDEA, I guessed Paul. I'm not really a Beatles fan.

I wouldn't expect anyone to know where Elvis is from!

I guess I thought they all were.?

Not even going there. They were still getting radio play in my childhood, they'd become nostalgia by my teens and I've kept a dozen or so of their songs to accompany me through the rest of my life.

That is enough.

I was in Vegas this weekend and thought of her :)
The in-room satellite music on the telly was playing a Wings song, and on the screen was a short bio about Paul, including where he was born.
I wasn't fast enough to get a pic of it and post to FB-was going to tag her :)
