I've been in Cleveland for ten days, and everyone keeps asking me what I've been doing and seeing here.

And the sad answer is - not much. Partly because I can't think of anything in Cleveland I particularly want to see - except perhaps the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame, which in itself doesn't look all that big, and yet costs $22/£15 to get in. And it's not as if I'd go into Cleveland specifically just for that.

The other sightseeing attractions listed within the Cleveland "Lolly The Trolley" sightseeing tour don't fill me with enthusiasm either. For instance, there's a stop at "one of America’s premier medical centers" (oh be still, my still-beating heart), and "a food market". I have probably been somewhat spoiled by living in London for nearly two years now, of course. Plus, the tour only runs on weekends - but I'm sure I'll go on it sometimes. This video just about says it all:

Outside Cleveland, there are other attractions that intrigue me. The National Museum of the US Air Force (even if I'm not all that keen on military action) and I wouldn't mind at least seeing friends in Miami University, Columbus or Cincinnati whilst in Ohio. But ironically there wasn't much time in this trip, and it's not exactly easy unless I rent a car or other such craziness. Ah well, maybe next time.

Of course, the primary reason for being in Cleveland is to be with [livejournal.com profile] shove_this_job... and we've done a very good job of being the kind of nauseating couple that we hate. With aplomb.

Best thing about Cleveland is that it is only an hour or so away from the worlds best collection of roller coasters, Cedar Point in Sandusky. If you love roller coasters, like I do, this is the Mecca. If you don't like them, then nevermind.
