I've worked within new media companies for just over a decade, and no office I've been in has come close to having as much fun as the staff at Connected Ventures, according to this new video which has apparently sparked yet another entry to the trendy urban lexicon, lip dub.

Maybe it's because UK new media is just too dour to do things as silly. Maybe it's because all the new media companies I've worked for were based in either way-too-posh rented offices, or just run-of-the-mill offices. Maybe I'm just too old for the onset of true citizen-generated video content. Maybe it's just me.

Stick with the clip, it does become one of the silliest, joyful and yet easy-to-do videos I've seen. Then again, I'm a huge fan of miming. Even has shades of Morecambe & Wise in it.

There's another track I need to add to my iTunes...

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] worldmegan!

That is so many kinds of brilliant. I love that sort of thing.

However, it has raised several questions for me.

I don't recognise your screenname. Yet you appear on your friendslist. We share some of the same interests, two mutual friends and are on two of the same communities, one of which I created. I have you listed as a friend but you have not added me.

You are exactly the kind of person I WOULD friend, I just have NO memory of doing so! It's very confusing :/

nono, nononono, I can understand why you haven't friended ME, I don't know you. This is so weird. I logged on this morning as normal, viewed my friends page, and nestled in amongst all the other entries was this one. Immediately, I thought ... mweugh? Who? I viewed the video, I liked the video, but still ... no idea who you were. And yet, there you were, plain as day, on my friends list. So I looked at your profile, noticed all of those things mentioned above ... still no memory of adding you as a friend.

I can only presume that I did so inadvertently, by clicking on a link accidentally. I didn't think that was possible. Either that or I'm bipolar and these lapses in my memory are actually when Stavros takes over.

Re the video.

They are a painfully trendy lot, aren't they?

And also ... "SILF"? Is that Sandwich I'd Like to F... because if so that's many levels of wrong!
