See a cool London Underground-style map of all the cities in the world that have, or are planning to build, a mass transit public system. Have literally minutes of fun dreaming of being able to traverse the world as easily (or not) as changing tube lines in London.

Chicago's mass transit is not as good as Londons, but is significantly better than Romes. (in my opinion) Chicago is just too sprawling like, the only way to get from say Wheaton to Evanston is to take a train into the city and another one out. about 2 hours of travel time at the minimum. Thats one thing I did notice about London while we were traveling to Bath, it was like LA LA LA city LA LA LA CITY BOOM countryside, not nearly as many suburbs that stretch for a 40 mile radius.

Date: 2008-03-04 02:16 am (UTC)The day we decided to go to Glastonbury it took us literally 4 hours. When I guess we could have driven it in an hour and 1/2 or two hours. Whoops. But then again, with the price of gas it was probably cheaper for us to take the train and the bus.
