Quite so! You'd think the defectors'd be worried about signing up to an organisation that demands they believe in extra magic bits, not even because they somehow wangled a quotation about something similar from the Bible, but just because the Pope says so, and which could technically decree things at them at any time, all because the Pope says they can keep some of their own practices (and how long will that last)?

Yeah, not a particular fan of the Catholic memeplex. I had hoped it would peter out (har har) quietly.
