This moment was apparently so incredibly cute and wonderful that my darling wife decided to save it for me so she could play it back for me.
I'm kinda failing to see the cuteness factor here... then again, I have a huge block on Buffy. And Charmed for that matter. I may have the same block with True Blood.
andrew: you're english right?
spike: yeah...
andrew: i've seen every episode of Doctor Who. Not red dwarf though, cuz...
jonathan: cuz it's not out yet on DVD.
spike: WARREN!

Mmmmm, Spike... :)

Date: 2011-03-20 06:15 pm (UTC)S6 & S7 are total and utter angst fests. With a couple of notable exceptions, they weren't worth slogging through.

Date: 2011-03-23 02:48 pm (UTC)As an illustration, the phenomenon of "Badass Decay" on TVTropes started out as being called "Spikeification", after what happened to my wovely Ramones-quwoting bad-accented vampypire in the later series. I miss the gorgeous, batshit Drusilla...

Date: 2011-03-20 02:12 pm (UTC)It's why I didn't watch Firefly until 2006 or 2007. "I've never liked ANYTHING Joss Whedon did, why would I start now?"

Date: 2011-03-20 05:53 pm (UTC)There was nothing superficial about Buffy that drew me in at the start, so I labeled it Somebody Else's Show and moved on.
When I would stumble upon it, it was invariably lots of big close ups of people staring intensely at each other and not actually doing a hell of a lot. I'd get bored looking at all the portrait photography because the dialogue never had any handles worth grabbing onto.
Since then I have been shown the 'beer bad' and 'bored now' moments. They didn't do much for me either because I had no prior investment in the characters involved.
I bought Firefly when the DVD box went on sale because I kept hearing things about it that interested me. I adore that show, although I think the film traded a bit of fun and warmth for dark and noise.
I've been too busy to catch Dollhouse but it sounds very interesting. I've seen places in Second Life that actually operate that way.
